Our team won’t pretend for a minute that we’re experts on all things microplastics. In fact, we regularly engage with the microplastics community to stay tuned to the latest findings. Through this and other work, we have come to amass a small library of research papers, references, and other materials that we would be happy to share. The field of microplastics research is quickly evolving, with new studies coming out daily. It can be a lot to sift through.
Our aim with this project is to connect our work in the Okanagan with the broader, global context and to do that, we need to connect and have conversations.
If you’re someone who is in the microplastics research community, or you know someone who is…or even if you just have an interest in the subject matter, we’d love to hear from you. We often hear “don’t reinvent the wheel!” and in this project, truer words were never spoken. We’re interested in working collaboratively to identify both best practices, and meaningful actions and solutions.
